Day Trips to Sweden from Copenhagen, Compared
Every day trip to Sweden from Copenhagen side by side: Malmö, Lund and Helsingborg, the 2-country tour, the bridge tour, guided and self-guided Malmö, by price, hours and what each includes (Oct 2026).
Three Swedish towns make a day trip from Copenhagen: Malmö, across the Øresund Bridge, Lund just beyond it, and Helsingborg, across the narrow Sound from Helsingør. The tour that strings them together with Kronborg is the 2-country day, from US$138 a person for nine hours (checked October 2026), and it is the default for a first visit; its calendar is below. The shorter bridge tour, a guided half-day in Malmö and Malmö on your own cover the other kinds of traveller.

Two things split the tours. The first is Kronborg: only the 2-country day takes in Hamlet’s castle, and even it stops outside the walls. The second is time in Malmö: the coach tours give you free time measured in about an hour, while the train-based trips give the city most of the day.

Helsingborg on its own
Helsingborg works best as a do-it-yourself day: the coast train to Helsingør, Kronborg if you want it, and the 20-minute ferry. The Helsingør-Helsingborg ferry has the fares, and Kronborg Castle tickets the castle.

Train times and fares are from Visit Copenhagen, DSB and Lund University; the ferry’s time and fare from Øresundslinjen; Lund Cathedral’s date from Svenska kyrkan; Kronborg from kronborg.dk. The tours’ prices, ratings, hours and inclusions are from the GetYourGuide listings, read in US dollars on 30 October 2026. All read in October 2026.

The 2-Country Day: Kronborg, Lund and Malmö
Kronborg, the ferry to Sweden, Lund Cathedral and Malmö, home over the Øresund Bridge, in about nine hours from Copenhagen Central Station. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before, as listed in October 2026.
